Does Kioku send my conversations to a server?

No. Kioku is 100% local — all conversations, prompts, and highlights live in your browser's IndexedDB. We do not run any conversation-storage servers and we cannot read your data.

Are my old conversations imported automatically?

No. Kioku only captures conversations as you have them. To import an existing chat, just open it once after installing — Kioku will save it within a second.

What happens if I uninstall?

Your data is in your browser's IndexedDB. Uninstalling the extension does not auto-delete it, but you'll lose access. Export everything to Markdown or JSON before uninstalling, just in case.

Why do I need a Pro plan?

Free covers 50 conversations, 10 prompts, and 50 highlights — enough to try Kioku seriously. Pro removes all caps and adds Send to AI, advanced filters, and priority support. If you use AI daily, Pro pays for itself fast.

Does Kioku work on Firefox / Safari?

Not yet. Chrome and Chromium-based browsers (Edge, Brave, Arc, Opera) are supported. Firefox is on the roadmap. Safari is unlikely due to extension API differences.

Can I use Kioku for ChatGPT Team or Enterprise?

Yes — Kioku works with any chatgpt.com / claude.ai / gemini.google.com / perplexity.ai / grok.com URL regardless of your account type. Be aware your IT department may have policies about browser extensions; check before installing on work devices.
